How We Became “Unexpected Auctioneers”
Astounding Auctions started with a simple belief: a nonprofit fundraising auctioneer should do more than call bids — they should carry your mission like it’s their own. Led by TiWanna “TK” Kenney, one of the few Black women Benefit Auction Specialists working nationally, our team built a reputation not on scripts, but on genuine connection with the rooms we stand in front of.
We didn’t set out to be typical charity auctioneers. We set out to be storytellers, strategists, and hype-people for causes that matter. Every fundraising auctioneer on our team trains not just in the mechanics of a live auction — the chant, the pacing, the read of a room — but in the harder skill of translating a nonprofit’s mission into a moment donors feel in their chest. Many of our team members hold credentials through the National Auctioneers Association, the industry’s leading professional body for benefit and commercial auctioneers alike.
